Text description provided by the architects. Belonging to the Park. The definition of a great suspended roof marks the powerful idea of the architectural design.

A single clear and round platform rises to the east, with the mountains making up the main landscape for the sports arena. A simple roof, constructively durable that is not visually supported on the perimeter walls keeps the volume permeable.

First Level Plan

The shape of the terrain allows us to design the stands in pre-existing slopes, with the roof appearing as a cloud over the landscape. The exterior cladding was designed with micro-perforated patterns that evoke movement and fluidity. They produce plays of light and shadows that give the building a recreational and playful character in addition to integrating it into the park where it is located. The design seeks efficiency and economies.

The structure is designed with steel frames that form a tensile structure, with articulated frames that make up the long spans. The perimeter walls are metal enclosures that facilitate the incorporation of natural light and ventilation as a design condition. Service and athlete areas are concentrated in a single exposed concrete building that is built into the ground levels.

Durability and maintenance were important factors in the choice of materials. We chose specifications addressing high resistance to wear and indoor climate.
